Aromatherapy Guidebook By: Rivka Sari Certified Clinical Aroma Therapist and Herbalist

This guide book was conceived when my own son was diagnosed with Hemophilia A factor viii deficiency moderate at first then was later treated as severe, also knowing myself  having Hemophilia C factor xi deficiency mild-moderate, Rosenthal syndrome. I discovered there was so many benefits to using Aromatherapy and Essential Oils, soon what I also discovered you cannot use just any Aromatherapy or Essential Oils. Persons with a Bleeding Disorder needs to take extra precautions and learn proper use and safety and know which oils and herbs to use. But there is so much conflicting information out there even within the Hemophilia Community because of the misinformation of Multi level Marketing companies recruiting and teaching misguided information. My son was my inspiration. When we would factor up all I had to do was pop the bottle of Lavender Essential oil and the smell would tickle my son’s nostrilas he would just calm down. Sometimes before his in home care nurse who was so amazing and also part of my son independence today. So before she would arrive we would fill the room with beautiful calming sweet aromas. Soon he was giving us the direction how to infuse and before I knew it he was infusing at age 5 1/2- 6 years old. He was feeling empowered no port and he would and still do infuse 3 times a week on his own and never had a port. We used aromatherapy whenever we could and it make infusion time easier and even quicker. Even when we as parents infused him it was so much easier when he was calm and focused. My son had challenges but they were so few far between. With support of HTC, his...
NEVER neglet your factor infusions. By: Rivka Sari Certified Clinical Aroma Therapist and Herbalist

NEVER neglet your factor infusions. By: Rivka Sari Certified Clinical Aroma Therapist and Herbalist

Never neglet factor infusions: The persons in your family  with a bleeding disorder should learn how to self-infuse with replacement clotting factors.Never neglect doing this or replace factor regmin. By the age of 10, most children with hemophilia should be able to infuse themselves. Ask your HTC about classes or workshop to help you with infusion. There are also some in home Nursing care that can help also. Clotting factors are infused before surgeries and activities that may cause bleeding. People with severe hemophilia may need to infuse clotting factors regularly (three times a week) to prevent spontaneous bleeding in joints and muscles. Infusing clotting factors helps blood to clot normally and prevents damage to muscle, joints, and organs. Essential oils can help bring independence. When in doubt about a  essential oil research the chemical make up of the oil or contact me and see if it is a oil that can thin the blood or interfere with factor medication and always consult with and work with your HTC physicians.   The Purpose of this website and information provided here: This website and essential oil line was conceived when my own son was diagnosed with Hemophilia A moderate to severe and knowing myself also having Hemophilia C mild I knew there was so many benefits to using aromatherapy and essential oils. So after 7 years of research and becoming a certified Clinical Aroma therapist I decided to take the guesswork out and provide clear and easy information for the Bleeding Disorders community to help our community to explore the benefits of this amazing health movement safely.  ...

Quick list forPeople with a Bleeding Disorder need to know. (Essential oils which inhibit blood clotting) By: Rivka Sari Certified Clinical Aroma Therapist and Herbalist

Copyrighted 2011 written by R.Sari Essential oils may inhibit blood clotting. This means, the blood can become thin and you can be at risk for severe bleeding  for some, the risks can be fatal. essential oils are to be treated the same medication interations when it comes to bleeding disorders. Those who are at risk If any of these conditions or situations apply to you, then you are more prone to risks. you are on blood thinners, such as coumadin (warfarin), lovenox, or heprin or take a asprin a day. you have Hemophilia, Von Wilderbrand, or other bleeding disorders you are prone to bloody noses and bruise easily you are going to have surgery, or  minor but nessasary invasive medical procedures. In any case the method of ingestion is not recommended, and topical use is considered safer. Herbs are for ingesting not essential oils. see list of herbs here .  Only multi marketing companies endorse this kind of practice. However even inhalation can cause the blood to thin, so caution is warranted. Essential oils work like a time release capsule when applied to skin or used inhalation. Both work the oil slowly to get into the blood stream which can thin the blood. It is recommended to also not use herbal extraction same as essential oils listed here. Be aware that essential do interact with medications and the simple act smelling of a oil can interact with medications just as much as applying oil to your skin. One example that Essential Oil Safety  by Robert Tisserand shares: an 85-year-old woman was admitted to a hospital with acute cardiovascular problems, and was prescribed heparin, followed by warfarin. Some weeks after leaving the hospital she returned, suffering...
